Celebrities and music fans alike were stunned and devastated to hear on Friday that Adam Yauch had passed away after a three-year battle with throat cancer, and now, Madonna herself is speaking out publicly in honor of the Beastie Boys rapper, who along with his bandmates, opened for her during the 1985 Like A Virgin Tour!

The Queen of Pop took to her Facebook page to write:grateful for all of the music and joy you brought with you during your time here, Adam!

May you R.I.P. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of your family, friends, and loved ones during this time.
