The author has taken to the crowdsourcing website, Kickstarter, to help raise money for his indie flick, The Canyons.

Interested "backers" film can donate money and receive gifts like a vote in the casting process for 10 bucks, a pitch meeting for 500 clams and full notes on your script/novel for only $5,000!

Or you could do other (more important) things with your $5,000...but that's just us.
