Maurice Sendak, author and illustrator of one of the most popular children’s books, Where The Wild Things Are has passed.

Reportedly, Sendak suffered a recent stroke and died of childhood staple.

Rest in peace, Maurice. Thanks for encouraging our imaginations to run wild.
